Jeremy Furber, who chairs the trustees, has been associated with One Community Trust since 2009 when the decision was taken to purchase the former Rectory. He is proud to have worked with a team that raised £350k in the first 4 years, and is excited and motivated to have a real opportunity to bring lasting and positive changes to younger people living in and around a rapidly expanding Keynsham.
Jeremy spent nearly all his working life in general management, mostly within the tobacco industry both within the UK and abroad. His efficient management skills keep us all in check and is a very hands on chair of trustees- liking to pop in without any notice. His vision for One Community Trust is to see it as a hub if activity “buzzing 24/7.” He is also keen to set up a wind band seeing it as a really great way to develop teamwork skills.
Since retirement he is even more involved in community events, but still manages to slip away to Italy several times each year and hopefully gets to indulge in his favourite Italian treat; Dolcelatte!
